A Brand New Day

Taking my first steps into Science Methods I was debating my feelings for this class.  Was it going to be like my other methods classes? Was it going to have an original twist to it?  The class was partially full when I walked in so I sat next to a friendly face I knew.  As the tables filled up I realized I knew a lot of the girls but there were some I still did not know.  I was familiar with the girls at my table except for one. The girl who sat across from me I had never met before.  When Dr. Ludmila Smirnova walked in she started telling us all about the class.  She taught us how to log into the web moodle went over quickly what was on it and then split us up into teams and handed out paper for our name tag activity.

What we had to do was write our name on the front and then flip it over to write answers on the back.  We were asked about science teachers we remember, what qualities should a science teacher have, what is science, and what is learning. Then after that we were told to turn to our partners and talk about our responses.  Since I already knew the person sitting next to me Dr.Ludmila Smirnova told me to talk to the girl across from me.  This was my chance to talk to her and get to know who she was. The Sunflowers because we all planted gardens in elementary school. We discussed our answers and I was voted to be the spokes person to share with the class.

Overall my first day experience was pretty fun.  I see that this methods class will be very different from the rest and I'm excited to see what will come.
